Half-Step Interpolation Iteration Method for Smoothing Echo from Atmosphere Lidar

  • 摘要: 由于大气扰动和探测器件噪声的影响,大气探测激光雷达回波信号中搀杂了大量的随机噪声,因此需要对直接探测信号进行平滑处理. 作者提出一种基于插值的半步长迭代平滑方法. 利用半步长插值对数据进行重构,重复这个过程直至原数据列与新数据列相似度达一定标准为止,由此迭代过程生成的新数据列即为平滑结果. 实验结果表明,该算法可以有效地提高信号平滑度并且自适应地保留重要的信号波动.

     

    Abstract: Because of the atmospheric disturbance and the detector noise, lidar echo signal usually contains a lot of random noise. It is important to smooth the lidar signal before retrieving the atmospheric parameters. A iteration method base on half-step interpolation(HSI) is introduced in the paper. Using the raw data as the original signals, the proposed method could reconstruct the new data by repeating the HSI process until the similarity of adjacent iterated results being smaller than a setting criterion. One of the advantages of the new method is that the data segmentation processing could be omitted. Experiments show that the algorithm can effectively improve the smoothness of the lidar echo and can save the important signal fluctuation adaptively.
