含添加剂细水雾熄灭甲烷/空气火焰的研究

Experimental Research on CH4/Air Fire Suppression Using Water Mist with Additives

  • 摘要: 利用Cup Burner燃烧装置研究了含有不同金属氯化物细水雾抑制熄灭小尺度甲烷/空气火焰的过程与机理. 研究结果表明,金属氯化物具有普遍增强细水雾抑制熄灭火焰的能力,添加剂的类型和浓度对细水雾抑制熄灭气相火焰性能影响显著. 在相同质量分数下,含金属氯化物添加剂的细水雾抑制火焰的能力逐渐增强,其排序为MgCl2,CaCl2,NaCl,KCl,MnCl2,FeCl2;含金属氯化物的细水雾抑制熄灭火焰过程中,吸热冷却、化学抑制与传热阻力增大3种作用同时存在,并互相竞争,最终达到平衡,存在着细水雾与添加剂的最优浓度配比,在此浓度上细水雾将达到最佳的灭火性能.

     

    Abstract: Water mist for fire control and suppression has received considerable attention as one of potential methods for replacing halon. The effectiveness of water mist fire suppression systems (WMFSS) can also be further enhanced by additives. A series of experiments has been conducted to explore the CH4/air fire suppression effectiveness by using water mist with metal chloride additives. The results show that the metal chloride can obviously improve fire suppression efficacy of water mist, which can be affected by the type and concentration of metal chloride. Six types of metal chloride as the additives were used in experiments. It is found that, with the same mass fraction, their fire suppression effectiveness is gradually enhanced in order of MgCl2, CaCl2, NaCl, KCl, MnCl2 and FeCl2. Because of three co-existing effects, there must be an optimal fire suppression effectiveness, which corresponds to the concentration matching of metal chloride with water mist.
