6.65 W Output of LD-Pumped Double-Clad Fiber Single-Frequency Amplifier

摘要: 研究光纤放大器的耦合效率以及影响输出功率的因素.抽运源为光纤输出976 nm的半导体激光器,增益光纤为长4.4 m的D型掺Yb3+双包层光纤,信号源为自行研制的单块非平面环形腔激光器.抽运光的耦合效率为80%,信号光的耦合效率为44%,入纤抽运光功率为24 W,信号光功率为200 mW时,得到了6.65 W的净输出功率,放大倍数达到33倍.分别对信号光及放大输出的频谱进行测量,结果为1 064 nm的单频放大.实验表明,信号光对放大增益的抽取非常重要,在此实验中信号光尚未饱和,放大功率仍有提高的余地.Abstract: The coupling efficiency of the amplifier and the factors affecting the output power improvement are investigated.The pumping source is a fiber coupled laser diode array with radiation at 976 nm,and the gain medium is a D-shaped doubleclad fiber with the length of(4.4 m,) The signal laser is a non-planar ring oscillator.The coupling efficiency for pump and signal are 80% and 44%,respectively.Output power 6.65 W was obtained when the launched pumping power is 24 W and the signal power is 200 mW.In experiment,the input signal was not saturated,so the amplification has the potential to be improved.
