Abstract:
The effect of generations and content of hyperbranched poly(amine-ester) on the impact and rheological properties of the blends of hyperbranched poly(amineester)/PVC are investigated. The micro-configuration of the break surface of the blends is characterized by SEM.The results show that: The extra added hyperbranched poly(amine-ester) can improve the mechanical properties of PVC,and the generation and content of hyperbranched poly(amine-ester) can affect the impact strength of the blends which may reach the maximum value when the content of hyperbranched poly(amine-ester) of third generation is 5%,the impact strength is 42.5 kJ/m
2.The melt rheology measurements showed a reduced complex viscosity gradually for blends and the blends rheological behavior appeared toward Newtonian behavior gradually as the content of hyperbranched poly(amine-ester) increased. Therefore, the PVC materials can be processed at lower temperature in case of possible degradation of PVC at high temperatures.
