Bis1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-1-propanone-N
4 dichorocobalt(Ⅱ) complex was synthesized and the crystal structure determined by X-ray crystallography. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c group, with lattice parameters a=(2.100 8(4) nm,) b=0.488 88(10) nm, c=2.627 4(5) nm, β=98.10(3)°, V=2.671 5(9) nm

2 symmetry with its axis through the Co atom, and the Co atom was coordinated by two N atoms of the 1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-1-propanone ligands and two Cl
- atoms, forming a slightly distorted tetrahedron. IR and electronic spectra study of the target complex were carried out.
