Abstract:
Studies the implementation of digital baseband shaping filters and analyses methods commonly used in shaping filter design, listing their disadvantages and advantages. From this analysis the table look up process in realizing the shaping filter with field programmable gate arrays is adopted and HDL (hardware description language) is used. This kind of shaping filter with FPGA enjoys high performance and great flexibility. As HDL is used in FPGA development, the parameters can readily be modified in the shaping filter by modifying the HDL soft code, so it can be used widely in software radios in the future.
