Abstract: Introduces a network model framework for testing and validating the routing protocols. It divides the framework into three subsystems namely the command subsystem, the model subsystem and the emulator subsystem. It uses design patterns to describe the relations between classes in each subsystem. The basic architecture of the framework is abstracted through design patterns. It shows that using the design patterns to describe the architecture makes the modules more reusable and scalable.
