Ballistics Limit Velocity for Spherical Steel Fragments Penetratig Titanium-Alloy Target Plates

  • 摘要: 研究钢球垂直侵彻 TC4和 TA7钛合金靶板的弹道极限速度 v50 ,并建立了不同弹靶条件下 v50 经验关系 .实验结果表明 :在钛合金靶板厚度一定的条件下 ,v50 随钢球直径呈指数规律递减 在钢球直径一定的条件下 ,v50 随钛合金靶板厚度呈指数规律递增 在相同实验条件下 ,TC4靶板的 v50 明显大于 TA7靶板 .这对飞机目标等效靶研究及其易损性分析有重要应用价值

     

    Abstract: An experimental study on the ballistics limit velocities v 50 for steel spheres penetrating normally through TC4, TA7 titanium alloy plates is carried out,and empirical ballistics limit velocity expressions for TC4,TA7 are established. Experimental results show that v 50 decreases exponentially with the sphere diameter when the plate thickness is kept constant, whereas it increase exponentially with the thickness of plates when the diameter of spheres are kept constant. v 50 for TC4 plates are much higher than that with TA7 plates under the same experimental conditions. These results can be applied in equivalent target studies on aircraft for vulnerability analysis.
