Abstract: Problems of frictional contact, viz., a nonsmooth equations model and its nonsmooth method for two-dimensional frictional contact problems are studied. The method does not need any extra variables, is simple in its formulation, and reduces much computational time. An example and some random examples show the efficiency of this method.
