Abstract: According to the requirements of integrated monitor and control for the network host, the way of its realization is studied. By analyzing the simple network management protocol (SNMP), the management information base (MIB Ⅱ), and the host resources MIB, a way of integrated monitor and control for the host’s hardware, software and network state was provided. It can monitor and control the remote host efficiently. A network integrated monitor and control system was developed. Experimental results proved that it is a successful way of integrated monitor and control for the network host based on SNMP.
