Experimental Investigation of Air Cushion Characteristics in Pneumatic Cylinders

  • 摘要: 研究气缸气缓冲特性 ,建立计算机辅助测试系统 .通过调节气源压力和缓冲针阀开度 ,测试不同工况下缓冲腔及主气路压力、气缸行程以及振动加速度等参数 ,并分析过缓冲、欠缓冲及最佳缓冲等几种典型的气缓冲特性 .实验结果表明 :气缸活塞与端盖的机械碰撞是造成振动冲击的主要因素 ;一些过缓冲过程仍存在机械碰撞 ,从而造成缓冲效果变差 ;最佳气缓冲只存在于某些工况

     

    Abstract: Air cushion characteristics of pneumatic cylinders are studied experimentally. A computer aided pneumatic cylinder testing system was developed. Pressures in the cushion chambers, in inlet and outlet pipelines, cylinder displacement and shock acceleration were tested under different working conditions by tuning the source pressure and opening of the cushion needle valve. Typical air cushion characteristics including over cushioning, deficient cushioning and optimum cushioning were analysed. It was proved that the mechanical collision between the piston and the end cap was the main cause of shock, and there existed mechanical collisions that worsen the cushion performance in some deficient cushionings, and air cushion is only applicable under certain working conditions.
