一种新的基于连续小波变换的图像分割算法

A New Segmentation Algorithm for Image Based on Continuous Wavelet Transform

  • 摘要: 研究一种基于空域-时域可连续小波变换的图像分割算法,运用可分离的小波函数作为滤波器提取运动参数,根据运动参数所提供的物体的运动特征实现基于运动估计的图像侵害从而有效地提高了图像分割算法对图像噪声、物体形变以及物体之间遮挡的适应性,由于小波函数的可分离性,大大降低了高维连续小波变换过程中计算的复杂性;采用序贯搜索及由“粗”到“精”的分层聚类相结合的策略,进一步提高了分割效率。通过对算法的仿真研究,验证了本算法的可行性及有效性。

     

    Abstract: A segmentation algorithm for digital image sequence based on spatio temporal continuous wavelet transform (CWT) is developed. A separable motion filter is used to extract the motion feature parameters, and the segmentation based on the estimating of motion is achieved. Because of the separability of the wavelet function or motion filter, the computational complexity of multi dimentional CWT is decreased. Sequential searching and hierarchical clustering are used to improve the efficiency of segmentation. Different algorithms are used to do simulation by using real traffic image sequence, the simulation results illustrate that the segmentation algorithm based on motion feature is accurate and robust, even in the circumstance of lower signal noise ratio.
