Abstract:
Aim To study the design and realization of ultra high speed data acquisition and DSP system based on VME computer bus expended for instruments(VXI) bus. Methods The VXI bus C size two slots module and I, Q channels were employed in the design and the sampling rate in each channel reached 500 MHz. The memory deep of the system was 2 MB and CPU was floating point DSP TMS320C31. The timing and logic function were fulfilled by CPLD. In layout microstrip and strip transmission line technique was adopted and high speed signal paths were terminated to match the characteristic impedance. The design underwent signal integrity analysis and software simulation. Results A simulation result of the high speed signals was given. Conclusion The test result indicates that the system works normally and the system principle and hardware design are successful.
