Abstract:
Aim To develop CFD code for plumes. Methods Implicit LU and four step Runge Kutta were used to discretize temporal derivatives of full Navier Stokes equations and Reynolds avaraged stressed equations. The convective terms of equations were discretize by third order TVD and second and third order ENO schemes based on Roe scheme. Results and Conclusion CFD code for plumes can be used to simulate axisymmetic and three dimensional plumes. The schemes are of high resolution and robust stability, can capture complex wave structure of plumes. The interaction between wave system and shearing layer and turbulent characteristics are simulated numerically.
