Abstract: Aim To study the effect of the government behavior on the regional economy under the condition of the market economy. Methods Case research was used. Results and Conclusion The functions of government are actively and non replaceable in developing regional economy, government plays a key role in formulating the strategy, constructing the infrastructure, keeping the regulation for fair competition and improving the local environment. The functions of government shoud be coordinated with the principle for the market.
