Abstract: Aim To survey software reuse technology as one of the mainstream technologies in software engineering Methods After briefly reviewing the history and development of software reuse,the paper discusses the main technologies of reuse and then studies its new trends It analyzes in particular the software bus model in more detail,and discusses the prospect of the model in distributed environment Results and Conclusion Reuse technology is not only an effective way of increasing software productivity,but it can provide new softwares with high reliability,high performance,high quality and low cost Reuse is one among the basis elements in future software technology
