Abstract: Methods of designing radar video signal simulator and simulating radar targets and clutter were discussed The simulator was implemented by mixed means of software and hardware Swerling model was adopted for dot target and the correlation between clutter units was considered for clutter model The data for different environment models was calculated by PC and was downloaded to hardware circuit When the timer signal came,the real time calculating was achieved by DSP and the video signal consisted of the target and clutter was generated by signal generation circuit The design has been certificated by conjunction of the simulator and the radar signal processor
