Abstract:
The idea of aerodynamic design for an unguided glider submissile is introduced. Wind tunnel experimental results indicate that the tail raiser plays the role of causing a submissile to glide. The three measures adopted to prevent rolling remarka-bly decrease the moment of rolling in wrap-around wings and /or fins. The results of trajectory simulation show that the flying distance of glider submissile has increased for approximately 80% when compared with normalfinned submissiles. It may effectively extend the scope of throw of submissiles.
