Abstract: The behaviors of nitrocellulose(NC) in condenced phase upon heating were studied using instruments for the determination of melting points of condenced materials,the infrared spectrographs as well as TG-DTA.The fusion temperature of NC is indicated, and the dependence of its melting point on the degree of nitration, viscosity and the rate in the heating of NC is shown.
