Abstract: The synthesis of 5, 5- dimethylhydantoin form sodium cyanide, acetone and ammonium carbonate was reported. High yield and good parity is easy to obtain with commercial available raw materials in this method. As bonding agents prepared from hydranotoin showed notable mechanicl properties improvement in nitnamine containing solid propellants.
