Abstract: Discusses ways of implementaion in extracting egometrical parameters from graphics files in engineering databases management systems of CAD applications systems. Comple x interal graphics files are transfered into external universal files that are readable.The paper analyses the structure of the universal files and gives rules of parameter arrangement in the files.The necessary geometric parametrs are extracted from the files into ordinary data files using genceral programming languages, so that users can easily access thes ordinary data files and the graphics data management is improved.
