Applications of Mutilmedia Information and Technology in Database Systems

摘要: 讨论了多媒体数据库对信息处理的特殊技术要求；针对多媒体数据库提出了面向对象的数据库模型；介绍了Ｍｉｃｒｏｓｏｆｔ为开发多媒体数据库提供的对象连接与嵌人（ＯＬＥ），开放式数据库连接（ＯＤＢＣ），ＳＱＬＳＥＲＶＥＲ等一系列标准和技术．给出了在ＷｉｎｄｏｗｓＡＣＣＥＳＳ数据库中进行多媒体信息连接的一种新方法，并与ＯＬＥ技术就各自的效率进行了比较．

Abstract: Describes the specific reuirements for multimedia database information management.It introduces the object-oriented database as a way of solution and a series of microsoft standards and techniques, e.g.the OLE, ODBC,Windows NT SQL server for the development of the multimedia database. Finally, it introduces a new way to link multimedia information with the Windows ACCESS database, then compares the efficiency of this to the OLE solution.
