Abstract: Starting with the characteristic parameter of the target according toinformation theory, the paper puts forward a method applied to targetrecognization and burst-point control under the condition that the a prioriprobability of the target is unknown in advance. Concrete application of themethod in capacity proximity fuzes is described, and it has been shown to bepracticable from results of firing tests.
