Abstract: Effects of the electrical conductance characteristics as well as of the terrain features, both marine and over land, upon the propagation of groundwave and skywave are analyzed. Carrier-frequency range and code ratio suitable for a marine telemetering system is presented. The results of calculation for the sensitivity of telemetering receiver and its error probability are given, taking 2 identical bits from 3 corresponding bits received, with 3 fold retransmission.
