Abstract: A mathematical model for the calculation of the fast starting property of a high pressure gas reaction driven gyro is established, based on relevant principles from the dynamics of rigid body, gas dynamics, and theory of pneumatic control. Measurement data are found to be in good accord with the calculated results.
