Abstract: A model is proposed to simulate the lateral dynamical properties of a pneumatic tire. The model is analyzed under time-varying wheel load and constant side-slip angle. The result shows a satisfactory coincidence with experiment data. The model can also be treated as a subsystem and in corporated into the whole vehicle dynamic system.
