Abstract: A nonequilibrium statistical theory of ceramics fracture is studied . The fundamental idea is that microcrack grows stochastically leading to fractures . The equation of stochastic growth is given . The microcrack distribution function , fracture probability , reliability , statistical distribution function of fracture strength and fracture life and their statistical average value are derived .
