Abstract: The principles and structure of a computer control system for steckel mills with a hydraulic servo system are introduced . It is more sensitive in response , possessing higher accuracy in gauge control and capable of performing various tasks in comparison with the analog control system . Thickness deviation of products can be greatly reduced .Results obtained through periods of serial production are briefly summarized .
