Abstract: A quantitative method for the determination of the water content in HMX and NH4CIO4 by means of gas chromatography is described . Dried ethanol is chosen as the extractant . In comparison with other methods this approach is natable for its simplicity and speed as well as its higher sensitivity and accuracy . The relative standard deviation is less than 30% and the relative error less than 5% .
