Abstract: The major characteristics of the linear stepped discrete frequency coding (LSDFC) waveform are investigated based upon theoretical analysis and copmuta-tion results . It is shown that this kind of waveform is convenient to be generated and processed and suitable to meeting the requirements of great duration and bandwidth .
