Abstract: This paper presents the theoretical and experimental investigation of the modal density of honeycomb cylinders. The formula for calculating the modal density of honeycomb cylinders has been derived with certain basic assumptions. The formula can also be used for calculating the modal density of honeycomb conical shells using the concept of equivalent cylinder. Satis-"factory agreement of the theoretical and experimental results has been obtained.
