Abstract: Fundamental equations are derived which govern the behavior of a shallow double curved sandwich sbell.Tbe shell may have a hard core and the surface layers may have unequal thicknesses.Variational procedure is used to obtain the fundamental equations.Relevant theories as forwarded by Reissner, Hoff,et al.may then be looked upon as special cases.
