Abstract:
Based on the kinematic and dynamic analyses of the gear honing model where a worm-shaped hone is used, a theoretica.l study on the mechanical mechanism of the process is performed.. Looked upon.from, its principle of computation, the analysis of gearing is transformed into furthermore a problem of non-linear programming. An algorithm of Computer-Aided Analysis (CAA) is developed to solve, this problem. Through the results of the CAA, the honing mechanism is clarified and the existing experimental conclusion is verified that honing gear with a stiff worm-shaped hone can improve the profile accuracy of the gear.An experimental research on the honing property of the worm-shaped electroplated diamond hone provides a basis for the theoretical analysis stated above.It is also a continuation of a study on the gear honing process using this kind of hone.
